Introduction
The Museum of Transport and Technology (MOTAT) is New Zealand’s largest transport and technology museum of its kind and not only offers a fun and exciting learning experience for all visitors but also lends itself well to being a unique venue for corporate functions with an impressive Aviation Hall.
MOTAT is located at Te Wai Ōrea Western Springs. Te Wai Ōrea means waters of the eel in Te Reo Māori. It houses a sizeable transport and technology heritage collection and first opened to the public in 1964 on its Great North Road site.
Taiwhanga Rererangi - Aviation Hall at MOTAT Motions Road is home to one of the world’s most unique aircraft collections. It is an ideal venue for cocktail functions for up to 500 guests and seated gala dinners for up to 300 guests.
